The Center will implement a comprehensive plan of advertising for the initiative, produce scholarly articles, conduct symposiums and promote a new series of studies, along with a new culture on a confused chapter of cardiology.
The Center will create and teach a Recommended Structured Medical Exam specifically designed to detect and evaluate the repercussions and prognosis of Coronary Artery Anomalies (hereinafter CAA). The Center will also create and teach a plan of all recommended interventions for CAA (both surgical and catheter-based), along with offering continuing medical education on CAA by hosting conferences and by offering Certification of Competence to trained professionals in the field. The Center will promote the creation of a network of “Centers of Excellence” in CAA.
An MRI Study is currently being developed by the Center. The study will not only gather critical information on CAA, but could also result in establishing cost-effective protocols for the prevention of death from the other most frequent cause of sudden cardiac death in athletes and the general population, namely cardiomyopathies.
Medical consultations and interventions for CAA that should be discovered during the Center’s activities will be referred to professionals within the medical community.
